Tausa queda a 80 kil\u00f3metros de Bogot\u00e1. Fue fundada en 1748, pero sus gentes, la mayor\u00eda ind\u00edgenas, seg\u00fan Rodr\u00edguez, decidieron hacia 1912 trasladarse a la parte de abajo, por el asedio de fantasmas y brujas que quitaban el sue\u00f1o a los pobladores del lugar.\nPero tambi\u00e9n fue para quedar m\u00e1s cerca de la carretera principal, que comunica con los municipios de Cogua, Nemoc\u00f3n, Sutatausa y Zipaquir\u00e1.\nCinco kil\u00f3metros de carretera destapada y empinada conducen a la colina donde estaba el Tausa viejo. All\u00ed, todav\u00eda quedan algunas construcciones como la iglesia, la casa municipal, ranchos de paja y construcciones ca\u00eddas que, en su \u00e9poca, eran las mansiones del lugar. El Tributo de la Cumbre, como es conocida la poblaci\u00f3n, tiene dos vidas. Una, cuando estaba en la parte alta, de la que muy poca gente queda, \u00fanicamente se puede hablar de don \u00c1lvaro. La otra, es el Tausa nuevo, con otras generaciones. Para m\u00ed es muy duro venir. Aqu\u00ed hay muchos recuerdos, que con el paso del tiempo lo \u00fanico que me traen son nostalgia y tristeza, dice Rodr\u00edguez. Cada calle, cada rinc\u00f3n, cada techo ca\u00eddo, esconde historias que fueron congeladas en el tiempo y que para don \u00c1lvaro a\u00fan est\u00e1n ah\u00ed.\nHacia 1779 en el Tausa viejo viv\u00edan 78 familias. El pueblo constaba de tres manzanas, una plaza, siete casas de teja y 120 de paja. Sus edificaciones notables eran el templo, la casa cural y la administraci\u00f3n de salinas.\nEn 1938 y 1940, se produjo el traslado al Tausa nuevo, en el sitio conocido como Aguasal. Hace 20 a\u00f1os se reconstruy\u00f3 la capilla del Tausa viejo, donde se celebra la eucarist\u00eda, los domingos a las 9 de la ma\u00f1ana, para recordar que, anteriormente, en ese lugar, hubo vida.\nDesde entonces, el sol y el viento han sido los \u00fanicos que han presenciado el decaimiento del Tausa viejo.\nLos salados, como se les dice a los oriundos de Tausa, dicen que uno de los principales motivos del traslado fue por un agrietamiento que se present\u00f3 en la plaza principal, debido a que sus tierras est\u00e1n sobre minas de sal y, por eso, el piso va cediendo.\nAhora, en el Tausa nuevo, no tienen cabida los temores y mucho menos los cuentos de fantasmas.
